hartflicker and the Film & TV Society QUT present:
Other Worlds are Breathing is a selection of powerful films that really show what people can do with unity and the power of imagination and creativity. The films celebrate humanity and provide a unique chance to hear the voices, hopes and dreams of those in the developing world, including films from an indigenous perspective.
Initially, Other Worlds are Breathing successfully took place at World Social Forum (WSF) in Porto Alegre, Brazil January 2005, where the festival gave many people an “energising feeling which is the prerequisite to any kind of doing, making and moving forward.”
For the last 12 months, OWaB has been travelling the world, inspiring thousands in North and South America, Asia and Europe. This exciting film festival will now travel to Australia for the first time, and, thanks to the generosity of the Queensland University of Technology, the festival will be presented at the university’s new state-of-the-art facilities.
OWaB will be screened in afternoon and evening themed sessions over three days.
